Team17 Announces The Escapists 3 for 2027

Team17 has officially revealed The Escapists 3, the next entry in its long-running prison escape sandbox series. Announced during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase, the sequel brings a major visual shift for the franchise by transitioning into full 3D environments.

Scheduled to launch on PC and consoles in 2027, The Escapists 3 expands the core sandbox loop with five distinct prisons to break out of, complete with unique guard routines, secrets and environmental layouts to analyse.

Expanded Crafting, Progression, and Multiplayer Support

Inmates will have access to over 120 new craftable and lootable weapons and tools to aid in their breakout attempts – ranging from conventional improvised gear to absurd options like pogo sticks and molten chocolate.

For the first time in the series, The Escapists 3 introduces a permanent XP progression system. Playing earns experience points that unlock specialised skills and escape capabilities, allowing players to tailor their inmate’s playstyle across different facilities.

Co-op returns with support for two-player local split-screen and up to four players online, allowing squads to combine skill sets and coordinate complex prison breaks.

The Escapists 3 is set to launch on PC and consoles in 2027.

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
