Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio have rolled out the second phase of Version 1.4 for the supernatural open-world RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE).
Arriving today, October 21st, the latest content drop adds new playable character Akane Rin, a music-focused story chapter starring in-game group The Whoots!!!!, an officially licensed performance of the anime track “God knows…” and a batch of half-year anniversary freebies.
New Playable Character: Akane Rin
The centrepiece of Phase 2 is Akane Rin, a guitarist performing at Livehouse StarSign whose backstory ties into her past career as an Anomaly Hunter.

Rin arrives with three distinct cosmetic options, including the “House Special” variant obtainable through the anniversary login event. Outside of combat, players can also activate her guitar to play music freely anywhere across Hethereau.
School Festival Quest Line & Music Crossover
Phase 2 opens a fresh story campaign centred on a school festival, bringing players back together with The Whoots!!!! as the band gets ready for a headline show. The festival narrative doubles as a featured crossover event, culminating in the group performing a special cover of the popular anime song “God knows…”
Half-Year Anniversary Gifts and Version 1.4 Content
To mark the game’s half-year milestone, logging in during Phase 2 grants all players 2 million Fons alongside Akane Rin’s “House Special” outfit.
These new additions build directly on the existing rewards introduced earlier in Version 1.4, which feature:
- Seven-Day Circle Gifts: Grants 20 Solid Dice for Limited Boards.
- Puka Membership Program: Unlocks at City Tycoon Level 16 to deliver two S-Class Standard Character Selection Boxes, an S-Class Standard Arc Selection Box and three bonus outfits.
Phase 2 lands alongside the features introduced during the first half of Version 1.4, including the Pukaland theme park, playable character Blackbird, new permanent Anomaly Commissions and drivable Porsche collaboration vehicles.

Neverness to Everness Version 1.4 Phase 2 is available now as a free update across PC, PS5, iOS, Android and Mac.
