Ubisoft has released the mid-season update for Rainbow Six Siege, specifically for Year 11 Season 3 Operation Split Fire. It introduces the Legend Division, changes to Operators and also brings back the Doktor’s Curse Halloween event.
Balancing Noor and Other Operator Changes
Noor has been on the receiving end of some balancing changes to “help him better fill his role” as stated by Ubisoft. His Horus Lance has had a reduction in drilling time to 1.5 seconds and also has had a huge increase in Guardbreak strength against Operator shields, from 30% to 100%. On top of that, the Lance now uses Quickdraw animations and has had its damage increased to 80 when hitting an Operator directly.

Aside from Noor, a few other Rainbow Six Siege Operators have seen some additional changes. These are:
- Tachanka – Now has a switch ability for the Shumika Launcher, allowing the choice between projectiles exploding on impact or after a bounce.
- Valkyrie – Receives the Glaive-12 as a secondary weapon option.
- Snake – Loses 1 precision charge on his Soliton Radar Mk.III.
- Capitão – Reduced delay for fire expansions from 1s to 0.9s.
- Clash – Slows enemies by 10%, up from 5%.
New Legend Division – Top 1%
The brand new Legend Division has made an entrance into Rainbow Six Siege, being a solo-only competitive queue ranked above Champion. This is purely designed for the top 1% of all players, so expect extremely high levels of competitiveness. Players who are doing the best inside the Legend Division will receive an exclusive profile banner which will evolve based on their leaderboard position, as well as an exclusive charm for the top 100 players of each region.
There are some high requirements to be eligible to even queue for the Legend Division, including a rank of Champion in the current season and a rank of Platinum or above in the last season, a clearance level equal to or above 200, Level 3+ Reputation and having enabled Secure Boot and 2FA. Ubisoft stated that the leaderboard will be monitored at all times to ensure fair scoring, whilst a massive ban wave of 50,000+ has gone out in anticipation.
Doktor’s Curse Halloween Event
Running until November 2nd, the Doktor’s Curse event has returned for Rainbow Six Siege, set inside a custom version of the Clubhouse map. It’s a 5v5 Hide and Seek game mode, where the Hunters must defeat and track down the Monsters. To go alongside this event, there’s also a 33-item collection that includes new Operator Bundles, two Weapon Skin Bundles and more.
