Insurgency: Sandstorm Released Operation: Echoes

New World Interactive and Focus Entertainment have deployed Update 1.22 for Insurgency: Sandstorm, titled Operation: Echoes.

Available across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, the update marks the conclusion of the shooter’s Year 4 content roadmap. It introduces two returning submachine guns, visual updates for existing maps, more character customisation options and some paid DLC cosmetic packs.

New SMGs and Map Visual Overhauls

The update expands the player’s weapon roster with two submachine guns, available for all players:

  • UM45 for Security
  • MP40 for Insurgents

Operation: Echoes also introduces visual overhauls to two of the game’s existing maps, being Power Plant and Hideout. These have both received some love in the form of more detailed interiors and exteriors, as well as refined map geometry.

In addition to the above, there are a couple of new character customisation options, including one new facial hair option, one new moustache and three uniform camos.

Premium Cosmetics and Pricing

Alongside the above free additions, four new paid cosmetic DLC packs have been released:

  • Seasoned Warrior Gear Set (Security)
  • Remnant Gear Set (Insurgents)
  • Woodwork Weapon Skin Set (Security)
  • Reclaimed Weapon Skin Set (Insurgents)

These packs are all priced at £2.49 each but are also a part of the 4-Year Anniversary Edition and also the Year 4 Pass.

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
