Runescape Releases Havenhythe Part 2 Update

Jagex has released the second part of Havenhythe for RuneScape, continuing on its story, as well as offering new areas to explore and more.

Heralds of Crimson & Duo Boss

Following on from the previously released story, the new Heralds of Crimson quest will take players east. Past Amberfell and deeper into Havenhythe itself lie several new regions to discover: Heathervein, a mining settlement with a quarry at its centre and Fenmoor, a swamp home to the Bogolins.

At the end of all of this is are the Ghrazi Blood Knights, RuneScape’s first duo-only boss encounter. Whilst this quest ends the Havenhythe story, it seemingly doesn’t end the Sanguine storyline, with a teaser at the bottom of the full patch notes page.

This new quest does have its own requirements:

  • Secrets of Amberfell
  • 55 Herblore
  • 51 Crafting
  • 65 Mining
  • 60 Smithing

New Skilling Methods: Exalted Quarry and Fenmoor Bog

Inside Heathervein is the new Exalted Quarry, which has the opportunity to train Mining and Crafting, whilst also gathering supplies for Runecrafting. Three types of Essence rocks can be mined from rocks here, which can then be crafted into Rune Essence. To go alongside this, Exalted Essence can also be found and offers a “less click-intensive way to train Runecrafting” when taken to an altar.

On the opposite side of the above, Fenmoor offers the ability to train Woodcutting and Fletching. This is done by chopping down the new Petrified trees that have three different types of resources and then putting them together into their respective Totems for the Bogolins. These are used by the new creatures to ward off the Sanguine, with rewards being given for the assistance.

Slayer Threats, Rewards and More

With the corruption of Sanguine pushing further across the island, it has also turned some creatures into new slayer threats. There are the Sanguine Bogolins that explode, Sanguine Werewolves that use bleeding attacks and Ravenous Strigoi which have arrived directly from Vampyrium. These three enemies can drop Crimson Ichor, a new material that can be combined with Remnant Energy to craft three Sigil Codices.

Alongside all of this, there are some smaller additions such as three additional Woodcutting tree types, two new Fishing spots, a new Farming patch, new seeds and tonnes more.

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
