Free Metro Redux Next Gen Update Coming Soon

4A Games has announced the upcoming Metro Redux Next-Gen Update, a free update for both Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux that aims to introduce a whole host of new visual and performance enhancements. This is a good time to jump into the series, ahead of the next instalment, Metro 2039, releasing on February 4th.

This update will be available on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5, with each platform including its own exclusive additions. On console, it’ll be a true 4K experience at 60FPS, or, alternatively, it can be run at 120FPS as an upscaled 4K option. For the PlayStation side of things, it includes Adaptive Triggers for DualSense controllers and also PSSR support on the Pro version of the PS5.

For Xbox, it includes Spatial Audio for all models, TSR upscaling on Series X, Impulse Triggers for the controllers and even Xbox Play Anywhere support. Lastly, on PC, it’ll include uncapped frame rates at a 4K resolution and support for DLSS and Spatial Audio. All three platforms will also include numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life features.

The Metro Redux Next-Gen Update is due to launch on October 22nd for PC and October 29th for PS5 and Xbox Series. Alongside this update, Metro is also celebrating over 50 million sales worldwide!

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
