Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Adds Agents & Events

Hoyoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3, titled Journey to the Sky, will launch on October 21st. This update advances the main story on the sky island of Roscaelifer, introduces two new S-Rank Agents, debuts a mech combat system and brings seasonal events.

New S-Rank Agents

The new update introduces Phoenix and Severian as the two new playable Agents, across the update’s two banner phases:

First Half – Phoenix: Second-in-command at the Krampus Compliance Authority. Her Core Skill, Nirvana, allows Anomaly DMG to trigger critical hits. She also features a self-revive mechanics to return to full health upon taking fatal damage. She debuts alongside her S-Rank W-Engine, Plume of Rebirth, whilst Velina and her W-Engine, Joyau Dore, will return for rerun banners.
Second Half – Severian: A senior commissioner at New Eridu Public Security. His Core Skill, Endless Breezes, enables automatic dodges that convert his momentum into counterattacks. He runs alongside his S-Rank W-Engine, Incarcerating Grip, with Norma and the W-Engine, Chief Sidekick, returning on reruns.

Mech Combat Gameplay and Story Campaign

In Version 3.3’s main story, the lockdown of Roscaelifer forces Judge Phoenix and Commissioner Severian into a temporary alliance alongside the Proxy and Lindverne.

To infiltrate enemy bases, players can pilot combat mechs created through Lindverne’s Genesis Reconstruction ability. Mech gameplay features freely swappable melee and ranged modes, heavy environmental attacks and power laser follow-ups. HoYoverse has confirmed that these mechanics will remain available in future updates.

Limited-Time Events

There are also several limited-time events on offer:

Spooky Funhouse Tales – Drive Trickmobiles to scare away unwanted guests.
Cyber Miracle Healer, on Duty – Fix Bangboo that has gone haywire after eating “toxic” chips.
Trails of the Hobbling Crow – Track down the culprit that attacked Crowe.
Repair Drifting Art – Piece together lost painting fragments.

The above includes numerous event rewards, such as the Angels of Delusion outfit, a new A-Rank W-Engine and fresh accessories. Enigma of the Labyrinth is also receiving a seasonal update, titled Spooky Trial, which will see Master Devil issue a three-round challenge to players.
