EA has revealed Apex Legends’ newest event, Blood Pact, which is due to run from October 13th to November 2nd, covering the Halloween period.
Beasts or Demons: Make Your Choice
Blood Pact introduces a feud between two factions inside the Wildcard game mode – the Beasts and the Demons. Players will be able to choose a side, which will offer different gameplay Wild Cards for completing challenges. The Beasts are agile and can earn cards such as the ability to double jump or reload faster, whilst the Demons are tanks when it comes to damage, with cards that grant Epic Level shields or force cells to regenerate all shield health at once.
To go alongside this mode, King’s Canyon has seen a spooky makeover, with random fog covering the map to reduce sightlines, as well as other decorations such as glowing Nessies and haunted loot bins. The Rev Shell Grenades have made a comeback – an explosive that locks onto an enemy and chases them down.
Halloween Cosmetics and Apex Legends Bundles
There is also a handful of new cosmetics in the Apex Legends store, all of which are premium and purchasable in the store. The main two highlights are the New Moon werewolf skin for Sparrow and the Restless Spirit demon skin for Altar. They can be purchased individually or as part of bundles, with the former also including a character select animation and the latter including the new Ecto Gambit skin for the R-99. There are also a few other skins available, as seen above.
