Rematch Launches Season 6 With New Contract System

Sloclap has launched Season 6 of Rematch, introducing a new progression system that replaces Player Level with Contracts. The season also adds Badges, two new cosmetic collections and a new location.

Contracts Replace Player Levels

Contracts are built around milestones, with players earning Experience by playing matches, which levels up their current Contract. Once requirements are met, the next one is moved to, rewards are collected and new features are unlocked along the way. Anyone who has already put in the hours isn’t left behind either, as Legacy Rewards recognise progress made before Season 6.

Badges and New Cosmetics

Badges recognise the actions that define how players play, such as creating chances for teammates, shutting down attacks, winning the ball, protecting the goal or delivering when it matters most. Players can choose which Badges to show on their Player Card and display them during celebrations and post-match Victory Moods.

The season’s theme is “nature or nurture”, and it introduces two cosmetic collections to match. The Vanguards have a polished, elite look, while the Glitches go for a bolder and more disruptive style. Players can unlock new cosmetics through the Season 6 Captain Pass, and a new location, Clouds Sunset, is also available, described as a VR set high above the clouds against a glowing sunset.

Coming Later This Season

Netcode 2.0 will be rolled out progressively throughout the season. It’s a major overhaul of Rematch’s networking systems, designed to reduce desyncs and rollbacks and make interactions on the pitch more consistent and fair.

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
