Nexon has officially launched the newest update for the First Descendant, bringing all-new story content in The Great Clash, a new Descendant and so much more.
The Great Clash storyline will culminate in a final showdown with the main antagonist, Karel, leader of the Legion of Darkness, bringing the main storyline to a finale. Season 4 Episode 1 also launches with a whole new Mega Dungeon, Karel’s Mothership, which is much bigger than the previous Infiltration Operations. It features all-new mechanics and an escalating encounter phase, bringing Karel’s storyline to a dramatic close.
Alongside this, there is a brand-new Descendant, known as Raven, who is a former boss of a back-alley guild. Much like her namesake, she has a pet raven at her side and is dressed in the exact gothic attire you’d expect her to be in. Raven is equipped with a shotgun “made of shadows” and has use of multiple mobility-based skills.
On top of the above, this update also brings a bunch more features, such as a new weapon tier called Transcendent, which features a variety of weapon types that feel distinct from existing weapons already in the game. There’s also a new Trials game mode that acts like a roguelite with seven distinct zones, all of which grant special perks and lastly, Rotational Builds that allow players to “borrow” fully completed Descendant builds that have been prepared by the dev team.
