Space Marine 2 Starts Third Year Content Support

Saber Interactive has announced the Anniversary Update II content drop for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, beginning the third year of post-launch support.

Playable Chaos Marines and Crucible System

Patch 15 is out now on consoles and PC, bringing the brand new Chaos Siege game mode. This introduces the ability to play as Chaos Space Marines in PvE game modes for the very first time. It’ll include two sectors on Avarax, with enemies being Tyranids, Cadians and even normal Space Marines.

The new Crucible System features Penances that are self-inflicted debuffs and modifiers. These are aimed to offer a new difficulty system for missions, with each one completed offering new rewards, such as the Lamenters armour set.

Thunder Hammer, Cosmetics and Space Marine 2’s Roadmap

The One-Handed Thunder Hammer has found its way into the game, available for the Tactical, Assault, Bulwark and Techmarine classes. As well as this, there are new variants for the Power Axe, Auto Bolt Rifle and aforementioned Hammer, as well as new Pauldrons and an Iron Halo.

On the paid DLC side of things, there are two new cosmetic packs out. The Space Wolves Champion Pack adds a new skin for the Bulwark, whilst the Exorcists Cosmetic Pack includes six armour pieces inspired by the Imperium daemon hunters. Both of these packs are available within the Season Pass 3 but can also be purchased individually.

There is one more content drop due before the end of 2026, featuring a new PvP mode, Vanguard class rework and more. The entirety of Year 3 is currently split into five separate updates, concluding in Q3 2027.

Hi, I'm ChilledPixl, owner of PixlPerfect!

This website was created to provide a space for gamers to learn about the games they play, as well as find new titles that may have been missed, as well as deals and trailers.

A commitment that I will stand by is that we will offer entertaining news to any of our readers without any unnecessary or unwanted additions to articles. No clickbait, no bulk and certainly no fake posts.

I envisioned Pixl Perfect as a hub, providing as much content as possible that I could provide, whilst also being a community area and I hope to develop the latter down the line.

I absolutely love everything related to video games and thoroughly enjoy writing and decided to join them both together. I owned a previous site in the past, the Player Journal, with the foundations of that used to create Pixl Perfect.
