Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, the first DLC for the game, will launch on October 15th.
The headline for this expansion is naval exploration, with players being able to command their own ship. This will take them past Pywel’s coastline and to uncharted islands, with underwater sections also offering sunken ruins and potentially hidden treasures. Of course, new enemies will make an appearance on both the surface and under the sea, offering risk for this new exploration. As well as this, the housing system has been upgraded, allowing more customisation to homes and the ability to manage rentable facilities.
Story-wise, it follows an ominous desert presence, a political conflict, a journey beyond time and a mystery beneath the waves. Kliff, Oongka and Damiane are all due to get their own story arcs. Charting the Unknown is looking to be a very big, meaningful expansion and is one worth watching.
Pre-orders for Crimson Desert’s expansion is live now on PS5, Xbox Series and PC for £19.99. For players who pre-order, they’ll receive two exclusive in-game items: the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff/Oongka and Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane.
It is due to launch on October 15th at 11pm BST.
