Stellaris has received its latest major expansion, alongside a smaller free update for all players.
Titled Nomads, this expansion introduces Arkships – huge, fully upgradeable ships that replace ordinary worlds. These can be military, scientific or civilian, with a tonne of upgrades on offer as your Empire evolves.
As well as this, there are new Waystations that offer long lasting trade routes, a contract system, the Stellar Canon (a huge megastructure that has the ability to fire a massive beam of energy) and a bunch more. Four new origins have also found their way into the expansion, including the Voidfarers, Heirs of the Khan, The Sacred Path and Forever Cruise.
The free 4.4 update, titled Pegasus, introduces the ability to join and leave in-progress wars, an improved job system, reworked situation log UI, performance improvements and more.
Stellaris: Nomads is a part of the Season 10 Expansion Pass or can be purchased individually for £20.99.
