Dying Light: The Beast
Dying Light: The Beast is celebrating three weeks of in-game anniversary activities, as well as some free goodies and the reveal of a physical PS5 edition.
The special Call of the Beast: Anniversary Event is live now, running until October 12th. It features global community goals, with each week potentially unlocking some exclusive rewards, such as the Castor Woods inspired unique outfit and weapon. There will also be daily Crane’s Anniversary Drops, including a selection of both in-game items as well as other digital goodies.
From the weapons side of things, every Friday, players can claim an exclusive weapon to use purely during this event’s lifecycle. The Discharge Weapon Pack, which includes the Discharge Machete and VNC Weapon Charm, is also completely free to claim on PC and consoles until September 24th. This is a DLC, so the items included won’t be restricted to this event, but make sure to claim it before the 24th.
On top of the above, Techland is finally releasing a physical edition for Dying Light: The Beast, however, it’s only available on PS5. They have partnered with Super Rare Games to provide three editions:
- Standard Edition. The normal retail version of the game. Costs £60.
- Super Rare Games Edition. Also includes an SRG sticker, metallic slipcover and is a numbered release. Pre-orders are limited. Costs £64.80.
- Anniversary Edition. Includes an artbook, double-sided poster, Castor Woods map, 2x pins, soundtrack on disc, 6x postcards, glow-in-the-dark sticker sheet, anniversary game box and a few more smaller items. Costs £172.80.
All three editions come with some previously released DLCs, being Action Hero Essentials, Hunter Essentials, Fire Lotus Pack, Discharge Pack and Castor Woods Prepper Bundle. Pre-orders are live now and are due to run until October 16th, with shipping expected to begin in Q1 2027.
