Battlefield 6 is collaborating with Top Gun: Maverick as part of its huge season 4 update.
Phase 1 has already been released for Battlefield 6’s newest season, introducing the Tsuru Reef map, which is the largest in the game so far. This map includes full air and ocean combat, with a new Dynamic Wave System affecting all players engaged in the latter.
August 18th is when Phase 2 drops and the Top Gun collab begins. Rooster, Bob and Warlock are making their debut into the shooter, all three of which are voiced by their original actors – Miles Teller, Lewis Pullman and Charles Parnell, respectively. They’ll be featured as character skins, although we haven’t been told if they’ll be earnable or purchasable as of yet.
In addition to the legendary actors, the F-18/Super Hornet and F-14 Tomcat jets will be featured in this phase, as well as a reimagining of Wake Island. The Carrier Strike mode will also debut, which will pit teams against each other with ground, air and naval forces battling to destroy the other team’s aircraft carrier.
Rounding out the season, Phase 3 will release on September 15th and include a collection event with rewards.
