XD Games has officially announced that Torchlight Infinite’s newest season, Tartarus, is available to play right now, featuring a new hero trait, a new game mode and so much more.
Tartarus Prison Management Mode
This new game mode lets players manage a prison in the Netherrealm. The game mode starts with players tracking and defeating escaped prisoners and, in turn, collecting their name plates.
Players will then spend the next round taking charge of the prison, with 16 available cells to house their prisoners and arrange fights either between the prisoners themselves or with fearsome beasts in order to hone their skills. Then, after 20 rounds of management, players face off in the final round against the very prisoners that they trained.
New Hero Trait: Spacetime Witness Youga
This trait introduces a new playstyle for the character. It focuses on continuous spellcasting, allowing Youga’s Clockwork Core to cast Entanglement automatically, while critical strikes lower his ability cooldowns.
This new trait allows players three distinct development paths. Spacetime Dictator, Spacetime Conqueror and Spacetime Dominator. Allowing freedom to shape the player’s chosen build to either combine elements from each path or to fully specialise into one path.
Progression System, Recruiting and More
SS14 also brings a whole lot more, such as a new progression system, the ability to recruit followers from different tribes and a whole lot more. The update is live right now.
