Core Keeper Introduces Rideable Mounts

Core Keeper

Core Keeper’s next major update, Riders of the Underground, is introducing the highly requested feature of rideable mounts.

Starting in Update 1.3, players will be able to equip the new saddle item, approach any type of cattle in the game and place it on them to convert them into a rideable mount. A new UI has been added to go alongside this feature which can be used to change mount names and even the behaviour of it. These mounts are not stuck as rideable forever, as the saddle can be removed and they are converted back to ordinary cattle.

Next up is the new Moss sub-biome, which can be found across the ruins and offers a peaceful and relaxing area, as no natural predators spawn. However, it does introduce a new type of cattle, the raptor-like Orex. The Hookshot has been teased previously in social media posts and will be included in this update. It’s a grapple hook that will give the ability to cross pits and chasms with speed.

Three pets have made their way into the game, one of which is The Hoppet, a ranged sea creature who applies the slippery effect on enemies, and Azeos Jr, a ranged sky creature that can stun enemies. The third, however, is being kept a surprise.

Other than the above, a few more smaller additions/changes have been included, such as improvements to the mage/summoner play styles, new armour pieces, rings, necklaces, pouches, enemies, weapons and more.

Riders of the Underground is due to launch on September 21st for Core Keeper.
