Behaviour Interactive and Devolver Digital have revealed the release date for the newest title in the Serious Sam franchise; Shatterverse.
This upcoming shooter is a new spin on the classic Serious Sam games, as it’s a roguelite. Uber Mental’s forces have broken the walls between universes, forcing Sams from different dimensions to defeat five of his lieutenants and repair the Shatterverse. This will see players jumping to different stages, finishing battles in which that universe’s Sam could not.
It includes co-op for up to five players, with a huge variety of weaponry on offer, as well as classical roguelite mechanics like modifiers and procedurally shifting runs.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse is due to launch on August 31st for Steam, PS5 and Xbox. There’s currently a playtest ongoing on Steam and access can be requested to join.
