Season 7 of The Outlast Trials is here and everyone’s favourite ex-police officer, Coyle, is returning to greet us all.
Project Boneyard will send players into its newest correctional facility environment, the Prison Farm. Murkoff wants to experiment with control and Coyle is clearly the best guy they have to enact said control, being the main blockade between the player’s freedom and death. Locksock the Warden is the newest trial for this environment:
“You are freedom. The indefinable promise that keeps prisoners at the grindstone that turns authority to profit and back again. Don’t let false authority stand in the way of real capital.
Kill the Warden, and we will let you out.”
On top of the above, the new season also introduces a new Ex-Pop – the Biter. Whilst it’s pretty obvious by name what they do, it’s stated that they should be approached with caution due to their mechanically enforced jaws. Their arms have been removed but their legs are augmented to offer unexpected speed.
There are also a few other features included in Project Boneyard for The Outlast Trials, including rig/knife customisation, loadout presets, Escalation/Invasion reworks and more.
