Sea of Thieves Season 20

Sea of Thieves Season 20 Introduces Custom Seas

The newest season for Sea of Thieves has launched, featuring a huge new community-driven mode called Custom Seas.

With the launch of Season 20, Custom Seas introduces the ability for players to create custom game modes, challenges, private worlds and more. Once inside the lobby, the creator can alter settings that can affect anything from custom loadouts and world events to scoreboards and enemy types. To assist with this, there’s also a new command menu to allow the ability to fast travel, spawn loot, use a free camera and a tonne more.

Of course, normal progression is turned off for these Custom Seas playgrounds, but players can complete new Seasonal Deeds. All of which gives a boost of Renown once returning to the main game, as well as potential other cosmetics. This is a good addition to ensure players who spend most of their time inside Custom Seas are not punished.

This season has also revamped the Season Pass, dropping its rewards from 100 to 50. This is split into tiers with completely revamped rewards. Players also get a choice between cosmetics on some of the tiers.

If you’re interested, Sea of Thieves is currently on sale on PS5 for just £19.99. This discount is due to run until July 1st.
