The first major update, Urban Blight, for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando has been released for free for all players on PS5, Xbox and PC.
It introduces a new mission, which is set one year after the events of the main game. The Hopewell company has tried to weaponize the sludge and it’s up to players to end this potential new nightmare.
In addition to the above, a new enemy type has been added – the Hornet. This is the first flying enemy and its attacks revolve around lifting players into the air and dropping them back down. There are also two new vehicles, the Forklift and the Thrasher APC (the former being exclusive to the new mission), a trials system for daily/weekly/seasonal missions and six new weapons – three primary, one secondary, one heavy and one melee.
Alongside the free Urban Blight update, Toxic Commando has also released the Cosmetic Pack 1 DLC. This is included in the Bloody Season Pass and includes unique skins. It can also be purchased separately if desired.
